Cant attain the raid tonight / anyone who can help me with computer problems?

Hey guys, having same problems as before with the wow client - all though now my computer crashes every time i try to open the game. I managed to get online for 5 minutes earlier, and saw that my FPS is down to 3.5 (usally 60). No problems playing other games and if I dont try to open WoW, im having zero problems. Ive been on Google all day but cant seem to find anyone with the same problem, I have reinstalled the client 3 times and updated my drivers aswell. Only thing I found on Google is that my computer may be overheated, but since i cant open the client this is the numbers when im just on the desktop. Does these numbers tell you guys anything? Thanks for the help, really starting to annoy me and the shop cant seem to help me either.. Problem started Wednesday and never had it before, its a gaming laptop (Lenovo Y50) and still have 500gb on harddrive left.

I guess you could try running some CPU stress test to see if you computer gets unstable. SuperPI used to be the shit, but dunno what the kids use nowdays. Anyway I'm unconvinced it's a CPU or temperature related problem if you aren't experiencing problems with other games.

@Suvanto Yeah googled it, doesnt seem to be the issue. The weird thing as you say, is that other games are fine but only WoW is killing me. @Istaria Still same same, so prolly wont have solved untill the raid tonight neither :( Gonna contact Nost and see if you can help me

I had a similar problem some years ago: The computer just assumed that the CPU would overheat and shut it down. I was able to solve it by cleaning the CPU-fan and adding a new cooling paste. However I had this on a normal PC, not a laptop, so I'm not sure if you're able to do that or if it's even the problem as gaming laptops usually aren't that prone to these issues.
Also it's really odd that it only happens at WoW as it's a very old game - would be interesting to see how much it stresses the CPU/RAM? But no idea how you'd get data for that when it crashes everytime you start it up.

One problem with vanilla WoW that I have heard of happening to Zeh before may be that it is too easy to run and your graphics card defaults into energy saving mode (low voltages, something). Try checking for anything of that nature.

I had a problem that the game wouldn't push me to 148fps on wow, i got it sorted from the nvidia panel by setting custom setting on WoW.exe and forcing it to max performance there. Without the settings the game would throttle on me like if i played a youtube or twitch stream on second screen wow would be capped at 60fps.

You should try to run HWmonitor and play around with couple of different games and see the cpu temps, gpu temps and load values and see if there's difference in other games and wow.

Edit: also try this to see if it's got any effect

Also try to set it between full screen and windowed and see if there's a difference.

@Nymira @Istaria @zenikai Hey, yeah its not runing on energy saving mode and graphic card seem to run correctly. Yeah Nymira i tried googling that and doesnt seem to be the problem. Yeah hard to get the data, crashes everytime i try to log in. And i talked to Nostalrius, they had no idea. Ok, ill try that Zenikai, thanks :) cant put it on windows tho since i cannot enter the game. All though it seems i need to wait to the 25:th and just buy a new computer =/

You can change the settings by editing the config.wtf-file in your WTF-folder if I'm not mistaken, should be something with 'window' in it which you have to set to either 0 or 1 I guess?

@Nymira Ah ok thanks. Just now, 30 mins ago - i managed to log in to my account, and while loading the client died. Then i tried again and managed to play for aproxx 20 min (one AB win) with absolutley 0% lagg (FPS 60). Then i entered next one and the FPS dropped to 3-6 again and the lagg began. Now i cant enter the game again..
