Character Stuff : Level 60 Priest, Level 2x Mage (leveling)
Age : 26
Nationality : American
Current Spec : BuildYes, I realize this is Shadow. I just linked it to be clear. I'm willing to respec if I need to play my Priest! I have a bunch of ideas regarding my Mage build, but either way, I'm comfortable respecing to anything the guild might require.
Priest Gear
[Crimson Felt Hat]
[Stormpike Sage's Pendant]
[Mantle of Prophecy]
[Stormpike Sage's Cloak]
[Felcloth Robe]
[Sublime Wristguards]
[Hands of Power]
[Stormpike Cloth Girdle]
[Skyshroud Leggings]
[Maleki's Footwraps]
[Songstone of Ironforge]
[Ring of Demonic Guile]
[Briarwood Reed]
[Burst of Knowledge]I also have a few "off-spec" pieces, meaning healing gear available to me.
Attunement : I am attuned to both Onyxia's Lair and Molten Core.
Availability : As I discussed with Istaria, I am about to go on vacation for a month or so. For the most part I will be available whenever, barring holiday stuff getting in the way. After I get back, I will be starting a new job. I originally was hoping the American raid group gets started and I'd love to be a part of that. Failing which, I can definitely make the Sunday raid time. Wednesday would depend heavily on work.
Background
I live and breathe theorycrafting. Nothing will keep me up till 6 AM without me feeling the passage of time better than pouring over a spreadsheet, trying to math out the viability of a new idea I had.
For an example, I made this spreadsheet for my own use with regards to Shadow Priests. I eventually modified it to become a boilerplate sheet for any caster and I've been mathing out ideas a lot! I don't mean to imply that I do not find other aspects of the game fun. It's just that theorycrafting is the best part of ANY game to me.
I love trying new builds, new ideas, anything. Exploration of the game's mechanics is awesome.
My mage was originally exploring the idea of Arcane, since in theory it looked like Missiles can output higher DPS than frost can when you ensure you do not OOM yourself. Unfortunately I understand that it is currently plagued by a bug, since it counts as an invisible debuff and gets pushed off the debuff table :(. If this gets fixed it would be awesome (because it is not how it worked in Vanilla, I believe). I will certainly try to get it fixed! I do hope it does, because I really want to successfully build an Arcane Mage for vanilla.
I love thinking of, making and discussing weird builds, if you couldn't tell. If anybody else is like this, I bet we will have a lot to talk about!
As for other games, I do not know how many of you play Path of Exile, but if you do, Click here.
I have played WoW for a while. Unfortunately I never seriously raided back in original Vanilla or BC because I used to live in India and raid times were awful. That and I was more interested in the ladder seasons of Diablo 2! I originally started raiding with Wrath and stopped playing WoW after Firelands/Dragon Soul.
Basically, I am applying now even though I will not be able to completely commit to a regular schedule until I settle into my new job and home. However, I look at this as a long-term thing. I understand a lot of people in this guild love theorycrafting the way I do. Even if I cannot make raids or if there is no room for me, I would enjoy this aspect very much.

Seems like a decent dude. Tho shadow priests are not being taken in raids cos of the dot limit. But if healing is not an issue, i'd say get him on board.

Damn. You sure picked the wrong class to do damage with.
The 8 debuff slot limit kind of makes us unable to run even a single shadow priest, like Pissis said.
I really like your efforts at modelling your damage, though, and your attitude definitely seems to be on par with the guild's, so if healing in raids is not an issue then I say we get you in!

In the immediate future, I have absolutely no problem healing on my Priest. As a long term solution, I had started leveling a Mage because I love being able to model the damage possible using various setups. I also have a Druid at around a similar level. I had some ideas for both classes that I wished to try out. I could discuss them in more detail in the future!
Just be advised that my healing gear is not quite as good as my shadow gear, unfortunately. It should be good enough for the current content though.

Alright, sounds good. Gear shouldn't be a problem provided that you're willing to spend some extra time off raids with the guild getting the necessary upgrades from 5mans. We run a lot of dungeons just for the fun of it anyway.

Thank you very much for the application :)
We have decided to accept it. You now also have forum access. About all the guild tag business we can talk about in game.
